Where to watch butterflies in the Cairngorms
Choose warm, sunny days to look for butterflies, when they are more active. Always take a good map and in more remote sites, a compass. Many of the paths are uneven so wear footwear with good ankle support and for longer walks take warm, waterproof clothing as weather conditions can change quickly. A mobile phone, snack and drink are good safety precautions. Remember to take a notebook and pen too, to record your butterfly sightings!
